The railway system connects Sarajevo with major towns to the north and with Zagreb and Belgrade and another line runs south from Sarajevo to Mostar and to Ploce on Croatia’s Adriatic coast. A ticket for a ride has to be bought earlier from small kiosks by the tram stops. If the kiosks are not open in the evening, you can get a ticket from the driver but you’ll pay an additional cent.

Postal service is available also but a normal post takes approximately one week to reach its destination while a heavier baggage could take up to 10 days.
