Getting Visas to Colombia

The costs of visa are £30 for tourist (depends on nationality), £75 for temporary visitor/student visa, for Business is £120, and for temporary working visa is £160.

Tourist Visa

This visa is granted to foreign citizens who intend to visit Colombia for 30 to 60 days, though you have to state the purpose of your stay if you need a 90-day visa. The requirements for tourists visa in are valid passport (applicable for a minimum of 6 months); 2 passport copies; 2 originals of Visa Application Form both signed and absolutely filled out; 3 colored pictures passport size (1.5”x1.5”); original documents proving the activities to be undertaken in the country; proof of financial condition (certificates of income, bank statements, income tax, etc.); and return tickets or definite itinerary.

Business Visa

It can be issued ONLY to the legal agent, management, administrative staff of a foreign venture, of commercial or industrial nature, that has financial ties with Colombia corporations or foreign companies officially established in the country.

Working Visa

This is issued to foreigners who wish to stay in Colombia for a temporary period of time on behalf of public or private foreign bodies of a commercial or industrial nature, with the intention of giving technical assistance, consulting services or products to Colombian corporations or companies.

Student Visa

This type of visa is issued to visitors who intend to study in the country as a regular academic student particularly in elementary, high school institution; as a student of an institution for higher education admitted to an exchange student program, or in any other list at a public or private institution identified by the National Government of Colombia.
