Local Services in Monaco

The finest way to travel around the country is thru bus. The bus has 5 routes and 143 bus stops all the way through the Principality. There is a signed board on the front of each bus to figure out the destination. Cards are available directly to the bus and it consume a lot of rides as you desire. Taxis are the easiest mode of transport to travel around the country. Some of the taxis are found at the avenue de Monte Carlo, avenue President JF Kennedy, avenue Henry-Dunant and Place des Moulins in Monte Carlo. For more information dial +97793505628 if you need to be picked up by a taxi. The Azur Express is a tourist train, which offers travelers to view some of the famous areas in Monaco. Other public transports in Monaco are elevators, subway and railways (operated by SNCF). The country has no airport. The nearest airport is Cote d'Azur which located in Nice, France. Some airlines advertised Monaco via Nice Airport.

Monaco Telecom is the holder of the MC Cable, which is a cable TV company in the country. It provides radio channels, French and foreign TV. The country has 5 TV broadcast stations as of 1998. There are 3 radio broadcast stations (AM 1, FM 3, and shortwave 8). There are numerous Internet café found in Monaco but only one Internet service providers because of noncompetitive situation of the provider.

The Central post office is located at the Scala Palace, Beaumarchais Square. Some of the newspapers in the country are Nice-Matin (regional daily publication), Journal de Monaco (weekly publication which deals with the internal government), and Monaco Hebdo (published weekly publication which involve current affairs).
