The language of Saudi Arabia is Arab.
Due to the relations between Saudi Arabia and Great Britain and the United States, English is also spoken by educated persons including military personnel and merchants.
Many Saudis consider the Arab language to have a special importance because it is the language of the Koran.

The spoken Arab changes considerably from one region to another. /p>
The Arab alphabet was developed in the fourth century AC. Because of the rapid progress of the Arab world after the death of Muhammad, the Arab alphabet increased quickly and today is the second most used alphabet in the world. /p>
The alphabet has 28 letters and it is written from right to left.
In Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, calligraphy is greatly valued as a form of art.
