| Contact this school | | Description | | Founded in 1866, The College of Wooster is an independent, coeducational four-year college of the liberal arts and sciences with an enrollment of 1700 undergraduates. Students may choose from 36 majors, including pre-professional and combined degree programs.
Wooster has a nationally regarded program of Independent Study featuring a substantial one-to-one research tutorial for all students in the senior year. Students are encouraged to participate in the extensive internship, research, community service, and study abroad opportunities offered at Wooster.
Wooster ranks 14th in the nation among independent colleges whose graduates, both men and women, earnd Ph.D.s between 1920 and 1995.
