Institute for Shipboard Education, Semester at Sea

Semester at Sea is a study abroad program, and the only one of its kind in the world. It was created in 1963, since when the non-profit Institute for Shipboard Education has launched 100 Semester at Sea voyages, and educated more than 50,000 students from 1,500 institutions. The main idea of the program is that undergraduates, lifelong learners, faculty and lecturers live and learn together, travelling on a ship, which acts as their campus.
