Bircham University’s Aromatherapy program looks at the art of using essential plant oils, (internally and externally) for preventative health care, healing, beauty and relaxation. Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts that can be obtained from the roots, flowers, leaves and stalks of plants and trees. The oils release specific scents that act on the hypothalamus of the human brain to intensely affect its physical and/or mental condition. Subjects covered on this course include: Aromatherapy Massage, Hydrotherapy, Essential Oils, Aromatherapy & Natural Perfumes. The Aromatherapy course is available at Specialist, Expert, Bachelor's, Master's & Ph.D. (Doctoral) Degree levels.
