Students must be legal Florida residents. There are also specific age requirements and limitations. Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten courses, and students must be 6 years old on or before September 1 to enroll in first grade courses.

How long does FLVS take to put you in a class?

Students will be placed in their requested courses as soon as possible, in most cases, within 72 hours after completing registration and required approvals. Occasionally placement may take longer due to high enrollment, during these times we strive to place students within 14 days of your selected preferred start date.

What is the grace period for FLVS?

FLVS will place students as close to their preferred start date as possible. Refund Policy Following placement and activation in a course, the student has a 14-day grace period during which he or she may withdraw from the course and receive a full refund.

Is FLVS considered homeschool?

A student who does not complete and pass every discussion-based assessment in the course is ineligible for course credit. Additional discussions may be conducted randomly throughout the course to assess mastery of content and authenticity of student work.

How fast can you finish hope on FLVS?

HOPE is a two-segment course and, per NCAA regulations, you must spend at least 21 days in each segment. That means the soonest you can finish the entire HOPE course is 42 days from your start date. You'll read more about this "21-day-per-segment seat time requirement" in the course, so don't panic.
