Yes, students may opt out of Disney Program housing when they receive further information from our Housing team in the days leading up to their arrival.

Do you have to live on campus Disney College Program?

Disney College Program interns work on-site and must be able to make the commute. There is on-campus housing available for students who need to relocate to the area or simply want to enjoy living within their community of cast members.

Can I decline the Disney College Program?

As long as you let us know ahead of time, we can cancel your program. You are welcome to apply for other positions within the company, including another Disney College Program (as long as you still meet eligibility requirements).

What happens if you quit the Disney College Program?

If you break program, you are ineligible to receive a program completion certificate. Reminder: You must be an active Cast Member to use your Disney ID, and/or successfully complete your program to use your Self-Admission Pass and your One-Day Park Hopper Guest Tickets.

Does Disney College Program pay for housing?

Participants are responsible for the housing cost for their apartment each week (Sunday – Saturday) that they are on the program. Please review your signed payroll deduction request form for the weekly rate of your apartment.

If you are at Walt Disney World Resort, you will have the opportunity to earn additional complimentary One-Day Park Hopper tickets so you can enjoy the parks with your family and friends, too. After working your first 150 hours, you'll earn your first set of complimentary tickets.

Generally, students work between 30 and 40 hours a week and may have opportunities to pick up additional hours. During peak times you may be required to work as many as 60 or more hours per week.

Mixed-gender housing provides program participants, based on availability, the option to live and roommate link with whomever they choose, regardless of their sex or gender identity. You could be placed in a mixed-gender apartment unit and/OR a shared mixed-gender bedroom.

Only the leader may designate housing preferences. Roommate linking is only available during the initial 72-hour DORMS registration window for your select arrival date. Please note that if you select to break the match you will not be able to link to that same person again.
