Students enrolling in Grade 1 must be 6 years old on or before September 1 in the school year for which they are enrolling and must have successfully completed a Kindergarten program. Students can enroll through age 19 but must complete their courses before age 21.

Can you graduate high school early with FLVS?

Students take FLVS courses to get ahead or graduate early, to allow flexibility for extracurricular activities, or to take courses not offered by their district.

Does FLVS need teachers?

At FLVS, we look for teachers that are dedicated to helping students succeed through a high-quality, technology-based education. We know that every instructor brings unique skills and experience to our online courses, so we don't try to fit them into pre-designed boxes.

Can you fail FLVS?

A student who does not complete and pass every discussion-based assessment in the course is ineligible for course credit. Additional discussions may be conducted randomly throughout the course to assess mastery of content and authenticity of student work.

Can you quit FLVS?

If a classroom has not been assigned yet, the course can be dropped from your child's dashboard. Once a classroom is assigned, you will need to call or email the assigned teacher to request withdrawal.

Can you skip assignments on FLVS?

Any assignment exemption will appear with an “ex” in your child's gradebook. Step 4: The Instructional Leader/Assistant Principal will respond with approval that covers the lesson content that your child is now able to skip.
