Does UCL take resits?

Resits are generally considered for most of our programmes. Any programmes that do not consider resits will outline this on their department webpages. Where resits have been attempted more than once, this may put you at a disadvantage due to the competitive nature of admissions for many of our programmes.

Does UCL accept Reapplicants?

What happens if you fail an exam at UCL?

A Resit is a second attempt at a failed assessment, usually in the Late Summer Assessment period, and without any additional tuition or fees. Resit module marks are capped at the Pass Mark. A Repeat is a second attempt at a failed assessment with additional tuition in the following academic year.

Does UCL law accept a level resits?

Can I get into UCL with bad Gcses?

What GCSE Grades Do I Need for UCL? You don't need all A*s, but they don't hurt. Math and English have C minimums. But if you want to study either of these, then make a good grade your focus.

Does Kings accept resits?

Applicants who have recently achieved grades which are below the entry criteria, and have subsequently studied/are studying another eligible qualification to seek entry, such as an Access to HE Diploma or a UK Foundation programme, may also be considered as a resit applicant.

Does UCL care about grades?

We would typically require an applicant to meet our requirements in full. For example, if a programme requires AAA at A-Level, we may not be able to accept A*AB. Given the competition for places, we recommend you only apply to programmes where you meet or are expected to achieve these requirements.

Is it really hard to get into UCL?

On the whole, courses are incredibly competitive and high grades go a long way in making your application stand out. Most of UCL's courses require ABB-A*A*A. For some of the most competitive subjects, including Computer Science and European Social and Political Studies, the entry requirements are as high as A*A*A-A*AA.

Can you get into UCL with a low 2 1?

UCL requires a good 2:1, so a bare 2:1 can be (and is often) rejected. It depends also on references/work/publications etc.. Kings is a 2:1/2:2 borderline entry.

Students are welcome to apply for deferred entry if they would like to take a gap year. Making an application on this basis does not affect your chance of being selected. You are required to attend all lectures, practicals, seminars, tutorials and external events for which you are timetabled. Attendance is monitored for most DIS undergraduate courses.

How many resits are allowed at university UK?

An undergraduate student is normally permitted three attempts to achieve the award of credit in a module (a first attempt and two re-assessment attempts). A postgraduate student is normally permitted two attempts to achieve the award of credit in a module (a first attempt and a re-assessment attempt).

Do Warwick accept resits?

We do not object to resits within the normal two-year A-level period. For example, you might have taken your A-level Maths at the end of year 12, and it didn't go well; in this case, we're happy for you to retake it at the end of year 13.
