How does Disney College Program housing work?

College and Culinary Programs are required to opt-in or opt-out of housing during the DORMS registration process. Please note that you can only opt-out of housing during the registration period. After registration has closed, you are obligated to remain in housing for the duration of your program.

Does the Disney College Program pay for housing?

Participants are responsible for the housing cost for their apartment each week (Sunday – Saturday) that they are on the program.

Where do you live when you do the Disney College Program?

Do you have to share a room in the Disney College Program?

Each apartment will accommodate no more than two participants per bedroom and no more than four participants per apartment. When linking with potential roommates, you may have the opportunity to link with zero or one other roommate.

Can you live with your boyfriend at Disney College Program?

Mixed-gender housing provides program participants, based on availability, the option to live and roommate link with whomever they choose, regardless of their sex or gender identity. You could be placed in a mixed-gender apartment unit and/OR a shared mixed-gender bedroom.

Do you get to pick your roommates in the Disney College Program?

Only the leader may designate housing preferences. Roommate linking is only available during the initial 72-hour DORMS registration window for your select arrival date. Please note that if you select to break the match you will not be able to link to that same person again.

Do DCP get free tickets?

Complimentary Tickets

If you are at Walt Disney World Resort, you will have the opportunity to earn additional complimentary One-Day Park Hopper tickets so you can enjoy the parks with your family and friends, too. After working your first 150 hours, you'll earn your first set of complimentary tickets.

Should I bring a car to the Disney College Program?

No, you will not need a car while participating in the Disney College Program, but you may find it helpful to have your own car. Otherwise, you will have to depend upon your friends to transport you to the places you wish to go.

Can you opt out of housing for the Disney College Program?

Yes, students may opt out of Disney Program housing when they receive further information from our Housing team in the days leading up to their arrival.

What are the odds of getting into the Disney College Program?

The Disney College Program acceptance rate lies somewhere around 20%. So, typically, for every 100 applicants, only 20 are accepted.

Can you do the Disney College Program in the summer?

A summer-only season is periodically offered for Disney College Program Alumni (previous participants who have successfully completed a program). First-time participants are not eligible to apply for the summer-only season, due to the extremely limited number of openings and the brevity of the program.

How many hours is Disney College Program?

It is a paid internship and participants are guaranteed to be scheduled for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Pay is weekly and housing costs (rent) are deducted automatically from the weekly paycheck. CPs are eligible for overtime (1.5x after 8 hours in a shift or after 40 hours in a pay period.

All students must have completed 12 credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Do DCP get resort discounts?

You can book resort rooms on the Hub or via a cast member reservation line. Sometimes resorts fill up and you won't be able to book with your discount once they reach a certain capacity. (Book as soon as you know when/where you want to stay!) You can save 40% if you're not staying in the room and 50% if you are.
